For the processing of your personal data on neuwerk’s corporate website.

1. Scope of This Data Protection Information

This Data Protection Information explains how personal data may be processed when you visit the neuwerk corporate website (the “Website”). It is intended to provide transparent information in accordance with applicable data protection law, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), where applicable.

The website is designed primarily to provide corporate, business, brand and career information. Based on the currently planned setup, the website does not provide user accounts, registration, contact forms, newsletter subscriptions or functionality for submitting CVs or job applications directly to neuwerk.

Although neuwerk does not actively request personal data from visitors through such functions, certain technical data may be processed automatically when the website is accessed, as described below.

4. Provision of the website and server log data

When you visit our website, we process certain technical information that is automatically transmitted by your browser or device. This may include your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested page or URL, browser and device information, referrer URL and technical status or error information.

We process this data to provide and operate the website, ensure its security and stability, detect and prevent misuse or attacks, and identify and resolve technical errors.

Technical data may be processed also by service providers supporting the hosting, maintenance, security and technical operation of our website, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), whose cloud infrastructure and hosting services are used in connection with the operation of the website. These providers process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide their services and, where required, on the basis of appropriate contractual arrangements.

5. No Direct Collection Through Forms or Accounts

The Website does not currently provide contact forms, user accounts, registration functions, newsletter subscriptions, or other features through which visitors are asked to submit personal data directly on the Website.

In particular, CVs and job applications are not submitted or processed directly through the neuwerk corporate website. Career applications are handled through a separate recruitment platform as described in Section 7.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website does not currently use cookies or similar technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device for necessary or optional purposes. Should cookies or similar technologies be implemented in the future, we will update this Data Protection Information accordingly and, where required, obtain your consent before activating them.

7. Careers and Oracle Recruiting Platform

The website contains links to a separate recruitment platform. When you follow such a link, you leave this website. Personal data submitted as part of an application are processed in accordance with the privacy information provided in the recruitment platform.

8. LinkedIn

Our website contains a link to our LinkedIn presence. When you select this link, you leave our website and LinkedIn may process your personal data in accordance with its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

neuwerk does not determine the purposes and means of the processing performed by LinkedIn in connection with your use of the LinkedIn platform.

To the extent that for specific processing activities, neuwerk and LinkedIn act as joint controllers, please refer to our Social Media Data Protection (opens in a new tab) and LinkedIn’s Joint Controller Addendum (opens in a new tab).

9. Other Third-Party Services

The neuwerk website does not currently integrate third-party services that independently collect personal data from visitors through embedded content, plug-ins, forms or similar functionality. Where our website contains links to external websites or platforms, such as LinkedIn or the separate recruitment platform, these links are provided for information and navigation purposes.

Personal data is not transferred to the operator of an external website merely because a standard external link is displayed on the neuwerk website. A connection with the external provider is established when you actively follow the relevant link.

After following an external link, you leave the neuwerk website. The processing of personal data on the external website is governed by the privacy information and terms of the respective provider.

neuwerk is not responsible for the data processing practices of independent third-party websites and recommends reviewing the applicable privacy information when accessing an external service.

If additional third-party technologies or embedded services are introduced on the neuwerk website in the future, this Data Protection Information will be reviewed and updated as required before or in connection with their implementation.

These providers process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide their services and, where required, on the basis of appropriate contractual arrangements.

11. Hosting/Transfers to Countries Outside the EU/EEA

Access to personal data from a third country cannot be completely ruled out in the context of support, maintenance and administration activities. If personal data is transferred to a third country without an adequacy decision, this is done on the basis of the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR.

Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant processing purpose or as required by applicable law.

Subject to the conditions and limitations set out in applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • request access to personal data concerning you
  • request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • request erasure of personal data
  • request restriction of processing
  • receive personal data in a portable format where the legal requirements are met
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests and
  • withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future where processing is based on consent.

4. Right to Object

Where your personal data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to such processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes applicable data protection law.

Visitors are not required to provide personal data through forms, accounts or registration functions in order to access the publicly available content of the website. Certain technical data may nevertheless be processed automatically because it is necessary to establish the connection, deliver the website and protect the technical infrastructure.

If you choose to follow an external link, such as a careers link to the recruitment platform or a link to LinkedIn, the relevant external service may process personal data under its own privacy terms.

7. Automated Decision-Making

The neuwerk corporate website does not use personal data for automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning visitors or similarly significantly affects them within the meaning of applicable data protection law.

8. Data Security

neuwerk implements appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data processed in connection with the website against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or unauthorized access. The measures are reviewed and adapted as appropriate to the risks and technical developments.

9. Changes to This Data Protection Information

This Data Protection information may be updated to reflect changes to the website, its technical configuration, service providers or applicable legal requirements. The latest version is always made available on the website.
