Much is said about how Google is attacking Microsoft in its cash-cow, Office applications. But another side to the same story is that some 97 percent of Google's revenue comes from ads and its stock has dropped about 50 percent so far this year, reports Bloomberg.com. Investors realize that the search giant needs to diversify if it is to continue on its meteoric rise in power. (To be fair, many think Google's stock is still overvalued at over $300/share, even if it is no longer trading at the astounding rate of $600/share.) Google needs its enterprise IT apps to be successful, and it is winning accounts, but Microsoft Office is hardly drying up in the wind.
